Thursday - No slackers here

into the mists of time

Thursday dawned like Wednesday cool and clear.  The mists were lifting off the course as the first crews came into the blocks.

Cut the poetic stuff comes the call over my shoulder as I write this!

Semifinal - this is the do or die of the regatta.  As the saying goes if you are going to win the final first you need to get there and when the cut off is the first 2 in an eight boat race the reality strikes home.

Already one of the stalwarts of NZSSRA has commented that today is like finals day at Nationals same number of races.  Although the statement is modified to note that there are twice as many crews!
