Dull and overcast conditions contrast with the exciting racing on the water.
Racing got underway at 8.00 am with the first race in the 105 race programme for the day. Excitement came early on in the club single events but everyone was waiting for the men's Premier Pair. They did not disappoint but perhaps one would have had a better view of proceeding if one had watched the first 1000 meters. Once the crews had sorted themselves out, as little energy as possible was expended in getting to the finish knowing that the reps will beheld tomorrow.
As always there was excitement in the Novice events with Clifton crew holding out a determine Canterbury assault in the WN4+ - the winner going straight to the final on friday.
