Well the weather turned out to be perfect in the end and as the images in the photo album show from today that the water was flat. Unfortunately the weather for the finals day is not looking so bright.
Still there has been some great racing in the cut throat world of repechages with - as always the mens club eight going to the wire in both divisions.
At the end of the day the womens premier eights completed their heat and while it was a game of cat and mouse the indications are that the race will be excellent. At the elite level we saw the Mens coxless four and I think that the boys from the south will prove too strong.
Some clubs are starting to come to the fore after a slow start yesterday in in particular the Nelson RC crews under the tutorlage of Ian Weenink are looking more like the defending champions day by day
