The contrast between the novice and elite level was clearly seen in the womens double sculls event. with a win in the Novice section by Otago University and the Championship by the twins - however it was very nearly and upset when one of the twins caught a crab within sight of the line and Rosslyn Knox and Anna Stantiall from the central RPC nearly caught them knapping to take the title.
They recovered in time and crossed half a length ahead.
At least the Novices did not catch a crab!!
